Dr John Goldston has been working in the field of cosmetic medicine since 1985. His interest in skin management and skin cancer management is lifelong with 30 years experience and a wonderful reputation. Mackay Skin Clinic is the longest established Clinic in the Mackay Region. Dr John Goldston is a member of the Australian College of Cosmetic Physicians and a Registered Specialist General Practitioner, majoring in skin cancer management. He has pioneered many of the techniques introduced into the Mackay and Whitsunday Region with his cosmetic treatments.

Karen is a trained consultant and specialises in facial treatments. Since joining the team she has developed an outstanding understanding in the importance of looking after your skin and has a passion for delivering a high quality of service and treatments to our clients. Her extensive training in facial treatments, and experience and knowledge of the Visia Skin Analysis is an added quality to the Clinic. Her experience and understanding has helped develop an outstanding reputation of the Clinic in the region.

Karen is always keen to advise and assist our clients in choosing the right skin care products and Youngblood mineral products so that they can feel good about themselves.

Lyra is a registered nurse and specialises in aesthetic nursing, as well as specialising in facial treatments and product knowledge.

Lyra is well-equipped with both medical and clinical skills and she has been a lovely addition to our team.

Lyra has had extensive training in all cosmetic procedures by attending one on one training workshops and conferences. She understands that every client is unique and takes great satisfaction in helping clients achieve the best long-term and ongoing outcomes.

Her caring nature makes clients feel comfortable when performing treatments.

As a registered nurse and cosmetic aesthetician, Jemma has been wowing patients with her incredible skills and experience. With her Bachelor of Nursing degree from Central Queensland University and experience caring for medical, stroke, and palliative patients at Mackay Base Hospital, Jemma brings a wealth of knowledge to our team.

After honing her nursing skills at Mackay Base Hospital, Jemma couldn't resist following her passion for cosmetic nursing. Under the mentorship of our experienced cosmetic nurses, Lyra and Rach, Jemma has been perfecting her craft and delivering flawless results for our clients. Keen to keep her skills fresh, Jemma frequently travels to Brisbane for one-on-one industry training for the latest techniques and knowledge.

Her favourite treatment, cheeks, helps to restore plumpness to the face, creating a youthful glow that is sure to boost anyone's confidence. With Jemma's skilled hands, you can expect to leave our clinic looking and feeling rejuvenated and refreshed.

When she's not bringing smiles to our clients' faces, Jemma can usually be found soaking up the sun on the East Coast's beautiful beaches.

Megan joined the Mackay Skin Clinic team toward the end of 2020. When it comes to achieving skin perfection, Megan is your go-to expert. Megan loves to help people achieve their best skin and boost their confidence. A long-term local, Megan grew up in the Central Highlands and has always lived in the greater Mackay region.

Her three children and grandson keep her pretty busy, but she also loves a round or two of golf. Her self-confession is being beauty obsessed, but it's her hard work, determination and passion which has helped Megan become one of the best in the beauty industry.

PRODUCT AND TREATMENT CONSULTANT

Sally has joined our team to assist with the growing demand we have in treating skin conditions as well as our beauty services. Sally specialises in facial treatments – including our herbal peels and new Meder Beauty Science range. She is available for skin consultations to treat problem areas and is an experienced beautician who has been receiving rave reviews for her brow wax and tint and eyelash extensions.

“I really enjoy helping people combat their problem skin condition,” Sally said. “Working through a treatment plan and seeing results, whether it be acne, rosacea or something else, is satisfying.”

When Sally isn’t working she loves to walk her staffy on the beach and plays the ukulele!
